Heaven’s gate opened as thunderous and dark clouds rolled in and showered the city. Atrocious lightnings struck to the ground with all its might when it finally struck infront of a car in motion. The car lost control and tumbles down a hill. Inside the car was a woman, she had hit her head a little hard, perhaps a little too hard.
Blurry images came to her eyes and she could finally focus on the surroundings, she found herself in a hospital bed and a man was sitting right next to her. As soon as she had opened her eyes, the man yells “Thank the gods” and comes to kiss her. But to the man’s astonishment she pushed and resisted too hard like she didn’t even know him. The man immediately runs to the doctor and picks a fight with him but the doctor just pushes his glasses up and says that she had lost her memory due to the blow on her head. When asked, she said that her last memory was of 10 years before when she was in college and she was in love with another man. “But I’m your husband” says the man who had been sitting beside her. One thing led to another and the woman absolutely had no intention of staying with her current husband. So after 3 weeks in the hospital, they both go their separate ways after signing the divorce letters. The man felt like the whole world was crashing down on him but this was for the best as the woman yearned for another man.
After that, the woman started searching for her college sweetheart and when she finally tracked him down, she immediately went upto him and told him that she wanted to be with him. Her college love melted before her and accepted her with his arms wide open. With this act they became inseparable and the woman never gave a second thought of her real husband.
Starting from grabbing a coffee together, it stretched to late night romantic dinners (both just loved each other’s company) and the occasional adult business behind the curtains. Their life together couldn’t have gotten any better but wait it did. One lovely evening they went to an infamous restaurant where he gets down on his knees and pops the question “Baby, will you marry me?” Without a moment of hesitation she agrees to marry him. And with that, their fate was sealed together. Everything seemed so perfect and both were ready to be in a wedlock forever…
On the day of the wedding, the quiet bell sung so melodiously when she started walking down the aisle with the most beautiful dress and a gorgeous bouquet roses in her hands. The ceremony began and it came to saying their vows to each other. The man said his vows and then it came for her turn. She too says her vows, however after finishing it, she became stone cold and she was pretty shaken up. She had realized that the vows she said were her original vows she had said for her real husband. Thousands of memories that laid dormant in her mind came bursting out like a volcanic eruption.
Tears trickled down her soft cheeks, drunken with emotion she runs out of the chapel and moves towards her real husband’s house only to find him dead. Death by hanging would be his only escape from a miserable life without the love of his life. He had planned it all, on the day of her wedding he would kill himself. The woman was star struck, she couldn’t feel her the ground beneath her but almost like a natural reflex, she drags herself to the kitchen picks up a steak knife and plunges it into her own chest dying a slow and agonizing death at her lover’s feet.
