When I was just a kid, I used to hear about a beautiful school where everyone should choose if you don’t wanna regret in the future. That was seventeen years ago when I just started to deal with alphabets and tiny things which are of level one tasks if it’s to be thought as game. You must be wondering whether a 7 years old poor boy could think of how beautiful the place would be just by hearing from the elders. I must state here that I actually could grasp a clear idea about it even though I was a little fool just started with new life.
I can proudly say that I am a pure product of Mongar District having completed all levels of education from different schools under the district. Five schools have been my sit of learning and all of them gave me the strength I needed at each step. I was moving up the academic ladder happily without any hindrance and I still believe that no one would have been happier than I used to be those days.
As expected and wished, I was enrolled in Mongar Higher Secondary School (Now Mongar Autonomous Higher Secondary School) in the year 2011. Back then, I was in grade 9, the lowest grade in the school. I was in the heaven I longed for. Since then, I was under the strict but helpful guidance of the school. I made sure that I didn’t upset the school during my stay even though I couldn’t do anything great. I am greatly indebted to this Mother who has nurtured hundred thousand children and yet strong enough to handle thousand more children.
Mongar Autonomous School is not just a school as many of us might think. If we go with the dictionary school could mean ‘any institution at which instruction is given in a particular discipline’. Mongar Autonomous School means More than this definition because it has been focusing on a particular discipline right from the beginning just like any other schools in the country. My school has contributed to her student beyond this definition.
Located just few meters above the Mongar Dzong, Mongar Autonomous School is a sit of learning for sixty years for everyone in the country. She has been one of the top schools in Bhutan and she had never frustrated anyone in the country. Her surroundings are exquisitely beautiful with variety of natural colors. Fresh air and cool climate can make you feel better while you study.
Teachers are the true sons and daughters of the Gods. Teachers are friendly with students and all that they want from students is the hard work and dedication to the study. They never fail to help students and are always ready to share their precious knowledge with the students. I was a science student but my love for the teachers is not limited here. Whether they teach science, commerce or arts, eventually their target is to make us discover the best within us. My love for the teachers are immense and they all are with me forever guiding me on my path. Your contributions to our life are more than anyone can do and they are really going to make difference in everyone’s life.
Dear, Mongar Autonomous School! Just by remembering my days under your umbrella, I get energized to move forward in life because you have taught me how we must move forward in life even if the life is treating us bad. Your hospitality was beyond anyone’s expectations; we are very much privileged to have a mother like you. It must have been difficult sometimes for you to handle us but you never let us down. You always wanted us to fly in the sky and help those who cannot fly.
I am a humble man who has grown up with all your love and care. Eventually, you wanted me to continue with the important matter in life and I had to continue walking in your absence but you resides in my heart.
The homely paradise and the Mother of thousands, she who believes in everyone of us, whether strong or weak, that melody of success would be sung one day if she strives for the perfection believing that such uniqueness lies within everyone of us which only needs to be discovered with her help; she is Mongar Autonomous School
