My View on ‘Princess Agents’

A drama series with 58 episodes, a fictional series filled with love, discipline, respect, trust, honesty, dedication, courage, ethics and power that gradually darkens into a hatred, jealousy, greed, torture, disobedience, injustice, killing and vengeance. I watched it with all my heart even if I have no language background on the movie. English subtitles have really helped me to deal with the most interesting parts of the series.

Main characters I found important

Frankly speaking, it’s really difficult for me to even pronounce the name of the characters in the series but their facial appearance and the characters they play are clearly registered into my mind. Chu Qiao is the main character in the story as the name suggests. She is the Princess agents. She has grown up with a good background of martial arts and wonderful skills. Moreover, in her journey she meets with a great martial artist Yuwen Yue and learns more skills and techniques from him. Chu Qiao is really intelligent and decisive throughout the drama series. Yan Xun is another character of focus and has the main role in the later half of the series. These are the three main characters who play important role throughout the series. It doesn’t mean that others don’t have better role but as per my perception, the story mainly revolves around Chu Qiao and what revolve around Chu Qiao are Yuwen Yue and Yan Xun.

A bit of a story

The story happens during the bad times of one ancient state in China called Wei during which many innocent people are kidnapped and turned into slaves. Chu Qiao is one of the slave girls who survives the heartless arrow shooting by the rich lords. Among rich lords are Yuwen Yue and Yan Xun who find better side of the slave and protect her from any forms of threats.

Under affectionate protection from these two lords, Chu lives in the state watching the inhumanity and bloodshed. She often gets involved in many of the dangerous circumstances. She lost her family members and she cannot even remember her past.

Chu Qiao with Yuwen Yue

She catches the attention of Yuwen Yue and undergoes strict training while building a sense of friendship with Yan Xun. I often felt like it’s a love triangle. Yan and Yuwen are friends but they both love Chu. If you wanna know their interesting relationship, watch the drama series here: Princess Agents.

Misfortune causes nobles in Western Wei to kill Yan Xun’s families. All the family members die in this treacherous fate. Yan Xun becomes ambitious and cruel as he promises to take revenge for the things and the people he lost.

Chu Qiao helps him for the best and finally they escape to Yan’s homeland Yangbei.

Chu Qiao and Yan Xun

However, as the time flies Yan Xun starts to doubt Chu Qiao and takes advantages of her loyalty many a times, disregarding their friendship.

Chu Qiao gets disappointed with Yan Xun and finally breaks off her ties with him and fights with Yuwen Yue so that she can destroy Yan Xun’s plans of vengeance.

This scene almost killed my heart; a scene of Chu Qiao with Yuwen Yue after Yan Xun shoots an arrow right through Yuwen Yue’s heart. A scene before the end.

What I felt after all!

This is how the series goes but after watching the final episode I am not really satisfied with the story. I mean the ending ends in a time bit earlier than I expected. I feel there should be some continuity in the storyline.

My character focus is Chu Qiao. What ever she does is important for my interest in the series but I would be more happy if it ends with Chu Qiao killing Yan Xun, the one who turns to demon from God.
