When you are doing exercises, you must keep your breath consistent and steady. Why I am saying this? It’s because many of us tend to lose focus on breathing during exercise period. I have experienced that. You may or may not have experienced that situation but I must tell you that you should practice it.

Why do we need to breath during exercise? Oxygen demand by the tissues increase during exercise and it should be constantly provided so that tissues can receive oxygen enough to work efficiently. For proper muscle growth and fat loss, there must be efficient burning of calories. Burning of calories requires constant and steady oxygen supply. Moreover, more oxygen is required after the exercise to restore the normal oxygen. This is what Wikipedia says about excess oxygen requirements after exercise.

Breathing in gives you more oxygen to your lung tissues and ultimately to your whole body. Similarly, breathing out throws away the carbon dioxide from the lungs which is produced by tissues during activities. Oxygen is required and carbon dioxide needed to be dumped. So breath well, huh!

Therefore, make sure to breath probably during exercise. It’s one of the many factors that influence the rate of muscle growth and fat loss. It’s important to learn how to breath normally during strenuous activities so that your breathing becomes your habit.
