In Bhutanese context

Where would you go on a shopping spree?

Oh, how exciting it would be to go on a shopping trip to Bhutan! I would expect to discover unique modern finds intertwined with traditional goods. I would begin my shopping extravaganza at Thimphu’s Centenary Farmers Market so I can buy fresh, organic food. I would scoop up local delicacies such as ezay and ema datshi, which I would be glad to support local farmers. Then, I would search for yathra handwoven textiles and gho motifs in the handicraft emporiums along with intricately carved wooden bowls. I cannot forget to stop at a local thangkas and crafts shop, I need to add some traditional Bhutanese paintings th to my collection. For the sake of balance, I would visit the newer clothing stores for modern garments that incorporate traditional Bhutanese designs. It is so fascinating how modern items blend with traditional motifs, much like Bhutan itself.
